6 reasons why Affiliate Marketers and Blogger's are Alike

WARNING! YOU MAY WANNA PAY ATTENTION AND READ THIS ENTIRE ARTICLE.

This is a not a tricky statement, somehow, many may find it quite hard to answer.. I decided to do an article on showing you how affiliate marketers and blogger’s are alike, because a lot of people come to the conclusion they are different.  Even though these two careers sound different by name, in a minute I will give you 6 reasons why Affiliate Marketers and bloggers’ are the same and what you can do to ensure they are crossed interacted with your daily routine of making money whether or not you choose one or the other.

Let's get started.

They are both writers

It's obvious Blogger’s and Affiliate Marketers write. The only difference in their writing is that Affiliate Marketers drive traffic to other people's product by writing, whenever someone clicks on a link that directs them to the product and they purchase it, the Affiliate Marketer gets paid commission. Some Affiliate Marketers use PPC (Pay Per Click) to drive traffic, but for the most part, a lot of them are Article Marketers (driving traffic by writing articles on a specific topic for a specific niche).

Blogger’s for the most part hardly write, because they want to get paid commission for promoting other people's product. Most Blogger’s are freelance writers interested in getting paid a flat fee from companies willing to pay them to write an article on a particular subject.

Both of them do their research in order to write

Because Blogger’s and Affiliate Marketers write, it is essential both of them use the same type of technique to write in order to get a great response:

1. Research the topic

2. Research the topic’s audience

3. Being informative

4. Engaging with their readers

5. Writing like a normal person having a conversation

6. Answer exactly what the title of the article is asking or saying in the article

A1. In order to research the the topic. You must read about it, learn the ins and outs about it, and find possible terms that people use that are talking about the same thing. For instance, another word for stutter is stammer. When you do this, you will be able to relate to a vast amount of people interested in the topic.

B2. Whenever you research what people that are interested in the topic really want to accomplish and need, it will help you to give exactly what they’re asking for. In some cases, it could be a product that you could be getting paid commission for everytime some purchase under your affiliate link. Some good places to look for affiliate programs are Clickbank, Commission Junction, Amazon, and there are a few independent ones. All you have to do is go to Google and search: niche name + affiliate programs, then you should be able to find a few independent affiliate programs.

Note: Whenever there’s a few affiliate programs on a niche, that tells you that niche is not profitable.

C3. I don’t care what you write on the Internet, if you’re not informative, people will not listen to you, especially if you’re new to the online world and you’re name doesn’t have buzz yet. It is crucial that every writer is giving some type of knowledge in order to gain trust. Every writer wants to gain trust, because trust is what’s going to spread your clientelle and help you get more sales or more gigs. Without trust, you just have a ordinary person coming to your blog and leaving without doing anything that will benefit you.

D4. In order to get a quick response from your reader, you must be engaging, and that means asking questions or asking them to leave a reply. In my personal opinion, a writer can not be engaging enough without writing 400 words or more. Writing less than 400 words doesn’t make you look good, because that means you’re less informative and less engaging, and that can ruin your chances of winning readership.

E5. It’s extremely important to write like a normal human being. I say that because people don’t like to be sold to or read words they have to look up in the dictionary to understand its meaning. When you write, let the flow of it be exactly how you would talk in a regular conversations with your friend, extracting misspell words.

F6.  Ouch, don’t you hate it when the article doesn’t answer the question or statement it promises to answer in the title? Not only is it annoying but also misleading, and this too will lead to gaining zero trust and less sales if you practice this type of behavior in your writing.

Both of them set their own hours

Every business owner set their own hours and it’s no different for Blogger’s and Affiliate Marketers. Don’t get it twisted, these are not jobs, these are 100% businesses that are 100% done online. Treating your business like a actual business will help you become more successful in your goal(s). That means making a plan and stick with it throughout your day or setting your hours and following through. If you’re like me, then writing everything down and checking them off as you go along helps a lot. If you want to jot them down on your computer, I suggest you do it on Google docs to save your computer from compiling space.

Both of them requires have a website

In order to blog, you must write about something on a website. As an amateur blogger, you must have a simple website to blog about something you like. A blog is like your resume that will show companies what you are capable of, and when you do get a gig, your author bio can point back to your website showing your skills.

Affiliate Marketers must have a blog to promote other people’s products, because most article directories don’t allow raw affiliate links to be pointed back on their site. Besides, it takes a regular person at least 7 times to see something and be interested in it, so that makes it better for you as a marketer. When you create a Wordpress site or blog on blogger, the more you write, the better chances of your site being indexed or found on the first page of Google under your specific topic or keyword you’re trying to rank for.  Writing articles on Article directories or guest blogging on other people’s blog will give you that extra back link that you need to get found faster online. Remember, multiple places is better than getting found through one place.

Both of them are marketers

Believe it or not, Bloggers’ are marketers just like Affiliate Marketers. Blogger’s intentions may not be on marketing specifically, but blogging is another form of marketing indirectly.

Affiliate Marketers promote other people’s products and get commission every time someone purchase under their affiliate link, however, whenever Blogger’s write for companies, they are promoting someone else or something, just by talking about it.

Both of them can determine how successful they want to be

Being your own boss means setting your own prices, setting your own hours, and definitely determining how successful you want to be. How do you determine how successful you want to be? Well, you can start out with a plan, stick with that plan, think positive, hang with successful people and keep learning. If you’re not constantly learning, then you will get left behind, because nobody knows everything.

If you’re wondering how you can use blogging and affiliate marketing at the same time, it’s pretty easy. Whenever you blog about something that has a problem, find a program you think will fix that problem, and point to it using your affiliate link. Or, if you’re talking about a product, point to it using your affiliate link. Using the 6 techniques I showed you, you should be fine. Just make sure to do your keyword research. One best way to do keyword research is by going to Google and type in the search bar one or two words you want to use, then Google will automatically come up with a few words to complete your search. These words that Google comes up with to complete your search are words or phrases that are popular searches for that particular niche or topic. You can use the exact phrase in your title or reward the phrase how you want, but use the keyword you want to rank for in the article title and in the first paragraph of your article.
